Before ordering your jewelry, we invite you to take a moment to discover the essential elements that will help you make an informed choice. Each La Voie Lactée creation is designed to stand the test of time — and every detail matters.
Here is a small guide to help orient your choice:
Our jewelry is offered in three materials: 925 sterling silver, vermeil plating, and 10k solid gold (14k and 18k are available upon request).

Measuring Your Ring Size
It is important to provide a standard ring size (full or half size). No order will be processed using finger circumference measurements in mm or cm, so please make sure to enter a proper ring size. A visit to a jewelry store remains the best option for an accurate measurement.
Choosing the Soul of Your Jewelry: Your Milk Stone
Once your jewelry is chosen, all that remains is to shape its soul — that of your milk stone.
You may choose its finish:
Pearlé for a satin softness
Scintillant for a touch of light
White or Natural, in their purest simplicity
White is rarely the natural color of milk as it truly is. Very few milks are naturally pure white. To offer your stone a soft and harmonious tone, a delicate touch of pigment is added, as explained on the preparation page.
If, however, you wish for the stone to reflect your milk exactly as it is, with no addition, simply let me know — I will honor your request with great care.

Each finish reveals a different nuance of your story.
It is up to you to choose the one that resonates with your sensitivity, your bond, your light.
✨ Pure White Finish
This is the easiest finish to maintain and the most stable over time. Bright, soft, and uniform white, it offers a classic, timeless — almost celestial — appearance.
✨ Sparkling Finish
Intense and luminous, it captures light like a treasured memory. It is enhanced with a subtle white base to preserve its beauty over the years.
✨ Natural Finish
Here, the milk expresses itself as it is, without artifice. Depending on its tone once crystallized, the stone may vary between off-white, cream, soft yellow, or pale grey. A raw, intimate, and authentic tribute.
✨ Pearlé Finish
The most mysterious and the most alive. Sometimes marked by pearly, deep reflections, sometimes more subtle, it transforms according to each mother’s milk. It may lean toward cream, ivory, or grey tones — a delicate surprise, always unique. In its waterproof version, it reveals a truly remarkable beauty.
🌙 Flakes
You may also add delicate flakes — gold, silver, iridescent, or colored — for a personal and magical touch. Several shades are available in the options on the product page.
Hair Locks
For some, a small lock of hair is all that remains of their child’s baby years. Or perhaps it is a lock from the first haircut. It is possible to include it in the stone, with or without milk.
It is recommended to send a sketch indicating your preferred placement of the hair.
Umbilical Cord & Placenta
It is also possible to include (with or without milk) a fine powder of umbilical cord or placenta. Reducing these elements into powder prior to shipping is the responsibility of the client. You may include a sketch for the inclusion.
